About Us

Whooley Lane Cat Hotel is a carefully planned new facility opening in Summer 2003 - designed to give you peace of mind. It is a Safe and Comfortable home from home for your cherished pet when you need to leave your Cat and small family pet while you go on holiday or work away or need to leave them behind for any reason.

The facility is a 'No Dogs' hotel. We find that many cats prefer to relax in our quiet countryside setting. This particularly suits senior cats, first timers or those who may be slightly nervous. located at Whooley Lane Farm nearby to the M66 Motorway near Accrington (about 30 minutes due north of Manchester). We offer boarding facilities from just 1 night to extended long stay, with facilities for cats that go out and cats that don't.

The Cat Hotel is owned and managed by Bobbi Cornthwaite. The Cornthwaite family have been involved in farming and caring for animals over a number of generations. “We know how it feels to leave a loved pet so we want you to have complete peace of mind – safe in the knowledge that you pets are being cared for until your return.”

We run the Cattery not only as a business but as pleasure and give love and affection to all the cats who come to stay with us.

We are Fully Licensed and all of the units meet the Feline Advisory Bureau guidelines, and Whooley Lane Cat Hotel will continue to make improvements to the excellent new facilities over the coming months to maintain and improve upon its high standards. This is a first class boarding cattery built strictly within the guidelines published by the British Veterinary Association and the Chartered Institute Of Environmental Health, providing the ultimate in hygiene and comfort for your cat.

We chose to build our Cat Hotel with your cat's comfort, safety, health and happiness as our prime concerns. The accommodations are constructed using the most modern materials, smooth plastic panels and glass. Cleanliness is paramount - all surfaces, walls and floors are very easy to wash.

We have purposely built only a small Hotel – for up to 30 pets, allowing us plenty of time to spoil our guests. The units are heated to ensure your cat can snuggle up and snooze while you sun your self on the beach!

Helping Bobby at the cattery is her husband Marshall who is a Milkman – so the Cats will always get the cream!

We understand it is hard parting with a beloved pet even for just a few days and encourage new clients to come and meet us to discuss your cats requirements. We hope this site will give you an idea of what we offer, in advance of meeting you. We never met a cat we didn't like.
