FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions How much notice do we need to give to make a booking? If we have the space and your vaccinations are up to date we can take your cat into the cattery in five minutes! However, peak periods (especially school holidays) book up very fast so it is as well to book your cat’s holiday as soon as you know your dates.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
We ask for a deposit of 50% of the
estimated charge payable when you drop off your pet. The balance is payable
when you collect your pet. The
only thing we ask is that if there is any change to your plans, you let us
know as soon as possible. All cats must be fully vaccinated to come into the Cat Hotel and dates of their vaccination must cover their entire stay. Any routine vaccinations must be completed at least two full weeks before they come in. The vaccination card must be seen on the day they come in. Our strict policy on vaccinations is for everyone's protection. Yes – we also cater for small domestic pets other than dogs such as Rabbits, Hamsters and Gerbils etc. They will be separated from the Cats so that comfort and stress is minimised.
Under no circumstances do we
take cats over the age of seven months that have not been neutered.
This does not apply to kittens under the age of seven months. What happens if my Pet is ill while I am away? Before you leave, we take details of your vet and a local contact such as another family member if applicable. You will normally give us authority to call your vet if we believe it is in the best interests of the pet.
Do we need to bring anything from home? No, we provide everything (bowls, litter trays, beds, food, etc.). All we need is your Vaccination Certificate to accompany your cat. However, if you feel that a favourite toy or scratching post may help your cat settle and feel more at home, please feel free to bring it with you. If in doubt, you are always welcome to ring us. Always ring and discuss any individual health worries with us as each case is different. In most cases we are quite happy to continue with any veterinary treatment for you. Not to worry, this happens more often than you think. In the quiet season there is no problem. At busier times of the year, if we do need your pen for another cat coming in straight away, again don't worry. Your cat can be made comfortable in one of our spacious isolation pens until your safe return.
